“Dramaqueens carry water for others”

One of my plants’ a dramaqueen.

Goes hanging when she needs water.

Like, girlie, I know I need to water you, but no need to be so dramatic about it.

So I whine and roll my eyes at her.

Every. Single. Time.

But secretly I’m grateful for her.

Because every time she goes hanging, I know it’s time to water the plants.

All of them.

The others aren’t as dramatic as her.

They don’t scream when they’re thirsty.

You think that’d be better, but boy do they suddenly disappear.

Out of nowhere leaves turn brown, entire plants die off. Like yooo, could’ve given me a warning? Don’t die on me when it’s too late and I can no longer do something??

But that’s the thing about no-drama plants. They’re silent, you think all is well, and then suddenly they’re gone. At least my dramaqueen plantie will never do that to me.

My dramaqueen may be complex, but she simplifies taking care of the others.

Because they reap the fruits when she signals it’s time for water.

She’s taking all the blame, the eyerolls.

I even refuse to promote her to a bigger pot because of her drama.

While the others, they’re growing every year.

One of my plantie’s a dramaqueen.

Are we still talking about plants though?
